Understanding the Fingerprint of Troponin I and CA 15-3 on Immunoassay Platforms: Implications for Harmonization and Standardization
Harmonization and standardization of laboratory measurement techniques aim for equivalent measurement
results to correctly interpret test results and give the correct medical advice independent of time and place of
analysis. However, harmonization of immunoassay measurement techniques is largely lacking since internationally
recognized reference materials and measurement procedures are missing, also because the measureand itself is often poorly defined.
Here, we assess the comparability and reproducibility of measurement results using different sources of the breast cancer marker CA 15-3 (Figure 1) and the cardiac marker Troponin I (Figure 2) on commercially available immunoassay platforms.

We have been featured in an article on medical breakthroughs from Norway, read all about it here.
A number of Norwegian companies have made a difference in the lives of patients all over the world and SERO is proud to be one of them.
SERO has been a pioneer in the field of quality control materials for laboratories. SERO’s founder, Professor Dr Med. Lorentz Eldjarn, started developing control sera as early as in the 1950s.

At SERO, we strive to meet the ever-evolving requests from our customers and with some minor, but important adjustments to our original clinical chemistry offer, we will be launching Autonorm™ Clin Chem Liq.
Autonorm™ Clin Chem Liq is a three-level liquid clinical chemistry offer that is based on Autonorm™ Human Liquid, but with optimized analytical levels of several critical analytes as well as it also includes bicarbonate and CRP in clinically relevant levels.
Autonorm™ Clin Chem Liq is based on human serum with no addition of artificial preservatives or stabilizers, nor the addition of buffers. Hence, the material behaves very similar to that of patient samples (being commutable).

Autonorm™ Pharmaca Liq is a human serum based liquid frozen control, including a wide range of therapeutic drugs.
This include antiepileptics lamotrigine, levetiracetam, topiramate and zonisamide, analgesic paracetamol and antibiotic teicoplanin.
